FASHION SHOW "THE SPRING OF '45"
IN PIEDMONT, ITALY
Natalia Naftalieva's new collection "Spring of '45" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and reflects the spirit of wartime.
“And when our girls change their overcoats for dresses…” - in the designer’s new interpretation, front-line overcoats and tunics with shoulder straps, raincoats and breeches are replaced by feminine dresses and quilted jackets worn directly over them as “an echo of a past war.”
This is not the first time the author has addressed the “frontline” theme: modernized overcoats, jackets, tunics, “village” dresses with small flowers together with men’s jackets on fragile girls’ shoulders, a “remake” of the military uniform of soldiers and officers – new-old trends that designer Natalia Naftalieva presents on the catwalk again and again in her anniversary collections.
The collection was presented in the Italian city of Piedmont on May 9, 2025, and was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
